Ujjain. The Bhasma Aarti (Bhaasma Aarti) was performed for Baba Mahakal at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on Thursday, the seventh day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Bhadrapad month. A large number of devotees gathered in the temple premises to witness this divine spectacle. Early Thursday morning, after seeking permission from Lord Veerbhadra, the doors of Baba Mahakal were opened to the accompaniment of drums and cymbals. Following the divine adornment and Bhasma Aarti, as devotees witnessed Baba, the entire temple complex reverberated with chants of “Jai Shri Mahakal.” The temple complex reverberated with the sound of bells, conch shells, and chants.
